Job summary

Martz Bus is seeking an Operations Supervisor – Central Dispatch to oversee daily motor coach operations, supervise drivers, and manage real-time dispatch across multiple locations. This role ensures safe, reliable service in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong decision-making, excellent communication skills, and DOT hours-of-service knowledge, coordinating charter and line departures while maintaining dispatch logs and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of DOT or transportation experience.
• Dispatch, scheduling, or operations experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dispatch systems.
• Flexible schedule in a 24-hour operations environment, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily motor coach operations and supervise drivers.
• Manage real-time dispatch across multiple locations.
• Coordinate and authorize charter and line run departures.
• Conduct driver pre-trip check-ins (safety, route, readiness).
• Monitor operations in real time and respond to service issues.
• Adjust driver assignments and coordinate service recovery.
• Ensure compliance with DOT hours-of-service regulations.
• Maintain dispatch logs and operational documentation.
• Communicate with drivers and locations throughout shifts.
