Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to operating warehouses and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will drive tandem or tractor-trailer equipment on intrastate/interstate routes under DOT regulations, ensuring safety, accuracy, and on-time performance.

The role requires a 3rd shift schedule (Sunday–Thursday), a valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, and a clean MVR. Benefits start Day 1 with competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• CDL A with Doubles Endorsement required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday nights (schedule may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer, including tandem and straight trucks, on intrastate and interstate routes to move empty and full trailers.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety policies, report hazards.
• Inspect equipment and load, ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and maintain daily hours-of-service logs.
• Unhook and hook trailers, park and secure equipment.
• Assist with general housekeeping in the yard and dock areas.
