Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport trailers on intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring safe operation and timely deliveries. The role requires DOT compliance, a valid CDL A with a doubles endorsement, and 3rd shift availability, Sunday through Thursday.

You will perform daily safety checks, load securement, route paperwork, and hours-of-service logging while supporting efficient food distribution operations. Benefits apply from Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• 12+ months of commercial driving experience required.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight up to ~90 lb with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and ensure vehicle safety.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer load to ensure proper securing of freight.
• Ensure route paperwork is available at dispatch.
• Drive/deliver trailers on scheduled routes.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Secure equipment and freight; manage damaged goods and returns.
• Complete daily hours-of-service records as required.
• Maintain clean work area in tractor and loading dock.
