Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate - Finishing/Bindery on a nighttime 7p-7a shift in Ohio. We offer on-the-job training to run high-speed bindery equipment and build a long-term career in print manufacturing.

No bindery experience is required; we train you. You will operate machinery, pack, inspect quality, and work with a team to meet production goals while following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education/experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Basic math and ability to use measuring devices
• mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work with a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products for quality
• Follow safety procedures and keep workspace clean
