Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate - Finishing/Bindery on the nighttime shift (7p–7a). No bindery experience required—we will train you. Responsibilities include feeding, packing, and handling books, while meeting daily production goals and ensuring quality. Training provided to learn high-speed bindery equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills and ability to use a measuring device.
• Mechanical inclination and ability to use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into the machine.
• Pack books into cartons.
• Safely move materials/books to and from the workstation.
• Perform hand operations as required.
• Work with the team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products for quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
