Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate on the nighttime 7p–7a shift. You will be trained to operate high-speed bindery equipment and contribute to finishing processes for books and printed materials. Emphasis on quality, safety, and teamwork on a fast-paced production floor.

Ideal candidates have basic-machinery experience or related training; GED or high-school diploma required. We offer overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package after a short eligibility period.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or 1–3 months related experience or equivalent
• No bindery experience required—we'll train you
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, and manuals
• Basic math skills and ability to use measuring devices
• Mechanical inclination and comfort with basic tools
• Pride in producing quality work
• Reliable and team-oriented
• Print/bindery experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into the machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Move materials and books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work with a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products for quality
• Follow safety procedures and keep a clean workspace
