Job summary

UPS is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Technician to maintain a diverse fleet of delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers. You will diagnose and repair diesel, gasoline, and alternative propulsion systems, including hybrid and electric options, while adhering to safety and DOT requirements.

The role requires an active driver’s license, 21+ years old, and willingness to work Monday–Friday night shift (7:00 p.m.–3:30 a.m.).

Qualifications

• Current documented Journeyman Mechanic experience
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer
• Reliable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis
• Available to work varying shifts, additional hours and/or overtime
• Must have active driver's license and be 21 years or older

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday
• Sits infrequently, as required, throughout duration of workday
• Exercises simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level as necessary to complete assigned tasks
• Operates standard and manual transmission
• Operates power and pneumatic tools
