Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will service a diverse range of delivery vehicles and heavy-duty tractors and trailers, working with diesel, gasoline, and alternative propulsion systems.

You must troubleshoot hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine control concerns while using diagnostic tools and your own hand tools. Position requires willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, with various weekly schedules.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and PC usage.
• Possess required hand tools for the job.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a diverse range of UPS vehicles, tractors and trailers.
• Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems and engine controls.
• Operates standard and manual transmissions; uses power tools.
• Complies with DOT requirements and safety procedures.
• Works 8–10 hour shifts, 4–5 days per week; overtime as needed.
