Job summary

G&W Electric Co. in Romeoville, IL is seeking an Assembler I for a 10:00pm to 6:30am shift to perform sub-assembly and basic assembly tasks. You will study instructions, read blueprints, gather parts, and assemble components with attention to fit and quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Ability to read drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
• Assemble components and inspect fit and quality before passthrough.
• Assist in prototypes or basic assembly projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and use resources efficiently.
• Document actions using production and quality forms.
