Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking an Assembler I to perform sub-assembly and assembly tasks with attention to quality and efficiency. The role involves reading assembly instructions, blueprints, and bills of materials, gathering parts, and using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities include assembling components, aiding prototype work, maintaining a safe workspace, and documenting production activities. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED and 0–1 year manufacturing experience, with good English

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year experience in manufacturing.
• Able to read drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Able to read and understand English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts and subassemblies by reading templates or measurements.
• Assemble components by checking connections and fastening parts.
• Assist in building prototypes or basic projects outside production as needed.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by following procedures and rules.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Train others in basic assembly tasks as needed.
• Inspect work to ensure it meets requirements before passing to next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
