Job summary

G&W Electric Co. in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking an Assembler I to perform sub-assembly and basic assembly tasks in a modern manufacturing setting. You will read instructions, measure parts, and ensure proper fits while maintaining quality standards.

The role runs 5:00am–1:30pm and includes opportunities to assist in prototypes, learn safety procedures, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists.
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening.
• Assist in building prototypes and basic assembly projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Train others in basic assembly tasks as needed.
• Inspect all work and ensure it meets requirements before passing to next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
