Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking an Assembler I for 2:00pm to 10:30pm shift. You will perform sub-assembly and assembly operations of basic complexity, prepare parts, and ensure quality before passing to the next operation.

The role emphasizes reading drawings, Bills of Materials, and using small hand tools with attention to safety. Responsibilities include assembling components, inspecting fit, assisting with prototypes when needed, and documenting production and quality actions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development.
• 0-1 year experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components by inspecting connections for correct fit and fastening parts.
• Prepare work by gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials according to instructions.
• Position parts using templates or measurements.
• Assist in prototypes and other assembly projects outside normal production as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to procedures and regulations.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
