Job summary

G&W Electric Co seeks a Manufacturing Associate I for the D shift (6:00pm to 6:00am) in Bolingbrook, IL. You will perform sub-assembly and assembly tasks, read drawings, and use templates to prepare parts and materials for production.

The role involves operating hand and power tools, maintaining safety, training others as needed, and contributing to continuous improvement within a mid-weight manufacturing facility. A HS diploma and basic English are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret drawings and bills of materials.
• Basic computer skills and English comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive sub-assembly and assembly operations of basic complexity.
• Study assembly instructions, blueprints and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
• Position parts using templates or by reading measurements.
• Assemble components and inspect for correct fit and quality.
• Assist in prototype builds and other basic projects outside normal production.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow procedures.
