Job summary

The Salvation Army seeks a Shelter Supervisor in Seattle to lead front desk operations, schedule shifts, manage timecards, and payroll while ensuring SOP compliance. This role reports to the Shelter Programs Director and collaborates with program leadership.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1-year experience in public contact/customer service.
• 1 year of relatable supervisory experience.
• Skilled training in Trauma-Informed Care, Mental Health First Aid, and conflict resolution.
• Four months successful experience as a Salvation Army Shelter Monitor (or related).
• Washington State Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of the Off-Site Shelter Programs staff operational administration.
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency resources.
• Monitor, evaluate, and facilitate changes in programs to ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with hiring to ensure adequate coverage of shelter staff.
• Provide direct supervision and training for staff assigned.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings; conduct regular shelter program staff meetings.
• Oversee direct client services and provide policy guidance to staff.
• Provide supportive care to residents experiencing personal crisis.
