Job summary

The Village Program, operated by The People Concern in Los Angeles, seeks an experienced Program Manager to supervise frontline staff and oversee overnight operations. The role ensures quality care consistent with agency and funder requirements, supporting housing and service delivery for clients.

The position requires leadership in an on-site setting, compliance with HIPAA and documentation standards, and collaboration with directors and funders to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Minimum two years experience providing Case Management services to the homeless population.
• California Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Non-violent crisis intervention skills.
• Experience in nonprofit setting serving homeless or mentally ill populations.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with clients using client-centered approaches and motivational interviewing.
• Provide care as part of an interdisciplinary team for individuals experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and substance use disorders.
• Guide staff to implement interventions reducing barriers and promoting critical thinking.
• Provide crisis intervention and triage services as needed.
• Manage client grievances and ensure timely resolution of complaints.
• Oversee daily shelter operations, scheduling shifts and coverage.
• Maintain documentation and data quality for reports to funders.
