Bay Area Turning Point, Inc. is seeking a Resident Advocate Night C to oversee shelter operations during the night shift, ensuring safe and supportive service delivery for residents.

This role requires crisis intervention, adherence to shelter guidelines, confidentiality, and coordination with staff. It offers 40 hours weekly with overnight hours and the opportunity to help residents achieve stability within a compassionate shelter environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year degree or 4 years related non-profit experience.
• Ability to lead and communicate effectively.
• Ability to handle crisis calmly.
• Must be able to lift/carry/move a minimum of 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention to residents and hotline callers.
• Provide orientation to residents regarding shelter guidelines and ensure adherence.
• Oversee safety, security, and welfare of residents and facility during shift.
• Maintain confidentiality pertaining to records and locale of shelter facility.
• Ensure all donations are accepted, recorded, and stored properly.
• Attend and contribute to shelter and staff meetings.
• Demonstrate leadership and problem-solving to empower residents for positive change.
• Rotate schedule to meet operations needs.
• Oversee shelter cleanliness and assign chores as needed.
• Document information in client files and communication log.
• Submit maintenance requests for equipment and building repairs.
• Check call notes and retrieve client messages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
