Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Float Pool (NICU/PICU/Peds). This role emphasizes compassionate patient care, strong clinical judgment, and collaboration across disciplines.

You will provide nursing care across pediatric subspecialties with a focus on safety and patient education. The RN will work night shifts (7p-7:30a), with every other weekend and rotating holidays, totaling 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must hold active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred; ER experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients comprehensively and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families for next care steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care planning.
• Support teamwork in a high-collaboration environment.
