Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, part of RWJBarnabas Health, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pediatric Float Pool (NICU/PICU/Peds) in Newark, NJ. The role emphasizes teamwork, clinical excellence, and compassionate patient care in a high-acuity pediatric setting.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, safe medication administration, coordination with physicians, and documentation in EPIC.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred
• Experience in pediatric or emergency care is desirable
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, EPIC preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes; intervene early and advocate for patients
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care
• Partner with physicians and advanced providers to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately
• Document accurately and timely in the EMR to promote continuity of care
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions
• Collaborate in a highly team-based environment to improve outcomes
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and ladder opportunities
