Job summary

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Float Pool (NICU/PICU/Peds). This night shift role pays $49.28-$66.05 per hour and requires an active New Jersey RN license and BLS.

The Pediatric Float Pool supports multiple subspecialties and collaborates with physicians and advanced providers to ensure safe, compassionate care. A BSN is preferred, with ER experience and EPIC familiarity highly valued. 36 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Prior ER nursing experience and comfort with EPIC EMR are valued.
• Night shift: 7p–7:30a; 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families to support next steps in care.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve outcomes.
• Support a collaborative team environment and continuous improvement.
