Job summary

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Float Pool (NICU/PICU/Peds). The RN will work night shifts in a high- acuity, teaching hospital environment, providing patient-centered care across pediatric subspecialties.

Candidates should hold an active New Jersey RN license, BLS certification, and ideally a BSN with ER or pediatric care experience. EPIC EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, intervening early.
• Administer medications and treatments safely with strong clinical judgment.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families clearly to ensure understanding and readiness for next care steps.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to support continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve communication and transitions of care.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and pursue ongoing professional growth.
