Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Fort Lauderdale seeks a courteous PBX Operator to professionally answer and direct calls, relay guest requests, and support seamless hotel operations. You will collaborate with Front Office, Guest Services, and other departments to ensure timely communication, handle in-room dining orders, and maintain a calm, professional demeanor

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience required.
• Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods or for an entire work shift.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct internal and external calls professionally and promptly.
• Handle guest requests and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
• Enter orders and use MICROS POS when needed.
• Coordinate with Front Office and other departments to relay messages accurately.
• Maintain familiarity with hotel facilities, rate plans, and amenities.
• Protect guest information and maintain confidentiality of keys and access.
