Job summary

Hyatt Place Santa Cruz is seeking a Night Manager to welcome guests, support the Front Office Manager, and lead a small team during night shifts.

Responsibilities include front desk transactions, guest service, bar service, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Candidates should have hospitality experience, be able to work weekends/evenings/holidays, and possess basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required, preferably in hospitality.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Strong English language skills (speaking, reading, writing).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to lift up to 20 lbs.

• Provide bar service and assist with kitchen as needed.

The Hyatt Place Santa Cruz is looking to fill key staff positions with potential to grow and progress in the hospitality field!

OurNight Manager greets our guests upon arrival with a genuine smile and warm welcome and assists the Front Office Manager in guiding other team members to make sure our guests have a great experience at the hotel.

Duties include:

• Delivering exceptional guest service, problem solving, and ensuring guest satisfaction
• Perform check-in and check-out transactions for guests, utilizing computer and cash handling skills
• Provide service at the bar for alcoholic beverages, as well as helping prepare food in the kitchen
• Set up and service meetings as needed
• Assist with staffing schedules and guest service training
• Leading the team when the Front Office Manager is not available

Qualifications:

• Customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must have ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays
• Requires strong command of the English language to include speaking, reading and writing
• Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with constant guest interaction
• Must be able to multi-task
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs)
• Must possess basic computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, etc.
• Must be 18 years or older
