Job summary

Hyatt Place Santa Cruz is seeking a Night Manager to greet guests, assist the Front Office Manager, and lead the team to ensure a memorable hospitality experience at the hotel.

Responsibilities include check-in/check-out, bar service, light food prep, meeting setup, and training staff. Candidates must have strong English skills, 18+ age, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Requires strong command of the English language to include speaking, reading and writing.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with constant guest interaction.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs).
• Must possess basic computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional guest service, problem solving, and ensuring guest satisfaction
• Perform check-in and check-out transactions for guests, utilizing computer and cash handling skills
• Provide service at the bar for alcoholic beverages, as well as helping prepare food in the kitchen
• Set up and service meetings as needed
• Assist with staffing schedules and guest service training
• Leading the team when the Front Office Manager is not available
