Job summary

Carvana is seeking a boots-on-the-ground Safe & Secure team member to protect associates, customers, and vehicles at the gate and on the lot. You’ll perform safety audits, monitor security systems, and support emergency response while maintaining a courteous, service-driven approach.

You’ll engage in snow removal, heat-safety protocols, and daily security operations, joining a high-energy team committed to keeping locations open and safe year-round.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• A track record of solid decision-making in a complex, fast-moving environment.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and connect with people quickly.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Live Carvana values and ensure they’re felt by teammates.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Communicate clearly and listen actively with no missed signals.
• Use the Unified Security Platform to monitor live cameras and investigate alerts.
• De-escalate and collaborate with partners to keep site safe.
• Run the SAS App and RFID-based ingress/egress procedures at the gate.
• Manage vehicle movement through inspection center entrances and exits.
• Be trained and certified in first aid, CPR, and AED and use when needed.
• Know emergency protocols and act decisively when seconds count.
• Keep the site operational in all weather conditions.
• Promote a safety-first culture through audits and best practices.
• Scan thousands of vehicles daily to maintain operational flow.
• Walk required areas to access restricted spots.
• Deliver clear vehicle location reports to leadership.
