Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Safe & Secure on-site team member in Texas to maintain gate security, monitor the premises, and ensure safe, continuous site operation. You’ll be the on-site face for associates, vendors, and visitors while enforcing ingress/egress procedures.

Expect to use CCTV/RFID tech, perform safety audits, and coordinate with Inspection Center and Logistics. Strong communication and physical readiness are required for this 24/7 role; pay is $18/hour.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Track record of solid decision-making in a fast-moving setting.
• Ability to build relationships quickly with on-site teams.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks.
• Ability to handle conflict constructively.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Monitor live cameras, review footage, and investigate intrusion alerts.
• De-escalate and collaborate with partners to resolve issues.
• Run gate operations using SAS App and RFID tech.
• Manage vehicle movement through entrance/exit gates.
• Maintain first aid, CPR, and AED readiness.
• Follow emergency protocols and safety audits to keep site operating.
• Walk across the lot to reach restricted areas and perform checks.
• Deliver detailed vehicle location reports to leadership.
