Job summary

Carvana is hiring for a Safe & Secure team member at our Indiana location. This boots-on-the-ground role involves guarding the gate, scanning vehicles, and enforcing safety protocols to keep the site open and secure.

You’ll work in all weather, respond to incidents, and support emergency procedures while interfacing with Inspection Center and Logistics teams. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make solid decisions in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to build strong relationships and connect with people quickly.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Monitor live cameras, review footage, and investigate intrusion alerts to keep site secure.
• De-escalate confrontations and partner with teams to resolve issues.
• Manage vehicle movement through gates and document movements.
• Operate the SAS App and RFID tech to enforce ingress/egress procedures.
