Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Security Team member to protect associates, customers, and inventory at our Hoffman Estates location. You’ll patrol gates, monitor entries, and perform safety audits to keep the site open and secure in all weather conditions.

This boots-on-the-ground role requires strong communication, quick decision-making, and the ability to work 10PM-6:30AM Tue-Sat while maintaining Carvana’s safety standards and customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven decision-making in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to build strong working relationships quickly.
• Ability to organize, plan and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Use our app and RFID tech to monitor and enforce procedures.
• Run safety audits and help keep the site operational in all weather.
• Scan vehicles and manage movement through gates and entrances.
• Respond to emergencies and follow established safety protocols.
