Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey seeks an EMS Dispatcher 2 for the RWJBH Mobile Health unit. The role coordinates emergency and non-emergency calls, inputs data into CAD, classifies calls, and dispatches appropriate units following System Status Management.

Night shift, hourly pay range $25.83-$31.81, full-time with benefits; requires HS diploma, preferred associate degree and EMS certifications; prior dispatch or EMS experience helpful.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• PHTLS/ITLS preferred.
• One year dispatch experience with Mobile Health as EMT/Paramedic or another public safety/EMS agency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers 9-1-1 lines within 30 seconds and non-9-1-1 lines within 45 seconds.
• Enters all required information into CAD system and ensures completeness.
• Dispatches appropriate units using System Status Management principles.
• Relocates units post-assignments as designated by the System Status Plan.
• Performs dispatcher duties consistent with Dispatcher 1 responsibilities when required.
