Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Dockmaster to lead dock activities, coordinate trailer movements, and ensure safe, efficient operations at our Leesburg facility.

This hands-on role partners with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to execute daily dock tasks with accountability and customer service excellence. The ideal candidate has warehouse or dock experience, demonstrates strong communication, and can work 3rd shift (Mon-Fri 10:00pm - 7:30am).

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, dock, or transportation settings.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Familiar with trailer docking and release procedures.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varied weather and terrain.
• Strong communication for daily interactions with internal/external teams.
• Comfort using Office 365 and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock operations and coordinate trailer movements to support daily priorities.
• Manage docking sequencing, yard flow, and safety compliance.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe situations.
• Collaborate with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams.
• Document issues and communicate updates using standard tools.
