Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a Yard & Dock Coordinator for the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 11:30pm-7:00am) to lead dock activities and ensure safe, efficient trailer movements. You will partner with operations, transportation, safety and customer teams to execute daily tasks and uphold high service standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. A proactive, safety‑minded approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Strong communication skills for daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support dock-related equipment.
• Coordinate trailer movements to support daily priorities.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow with knowledge of trailer anatomy.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe situations.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams.
• Communicate professionally with stakeholders and maintain customer service mindset.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines and safety standards.
• Support dock and yard organization with 7S standards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to identify risks or delays.
• Use Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership.
