Job summary

GXO is seeking a Dockmaster for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00pm–11:00pm) to lead dock operations and ensure safe trailer movements. You’ll collaborate with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to maintain daily dock activity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, dock, or transportation.
• Coordinate dock or yard activities in fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and anatomy.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and varied terrain.
• Follow defined processes, safety standards, and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication for daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
• Proficient with MS Office 365 and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and equipment use.
• Coordinate trailer movements to support daily priorities.
• Manage docking, release, and yard flow with safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate risks.
• Partner with site operations, transportation, and customer teams.
• Maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with site guidelines and SWIs.
• Support 7S warehouse organization.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to identify risks.
• Use Office tools to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage to site leadership as needed.
