Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard & Dock Coordinator to oversee dock activities and trailer movements, partnering with operations, transportation, and customer teams to ensure safe, efficient, and timely yard flow.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes accountability, safety, and customer service excellence at the facility. The ideal candidate has experience in warehouse or dock environments, knowledge of trailer docking procedures, and a proven ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

Experience in warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
Ability to coordinate dock/yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
Working knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varied terrain.
Follow defined processes, safety standards and escalation procedures.
Strong communication for daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

Coordinate dock activities and yard movements to support daily priorities.
Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe situations.
Sequence trailer docking, release, and yard flow in alignment with safety standards.
Communicate with site operations, transportation, and customer teams.
Support site leadership and peers with coverage as needed.
