Job summary

Hormel Foods is seeking a Team Leader for the Nevada, IA distribution facility on the 3rd shift (10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.). You will lead the distribution team, drive production and quality goals, ensure resources are available, and support safe, cost-conscious, customer-focused operations.

The role requires standing about 80% of the shift and may involve extended hours including weekends. Training includes six weeks of hands-on instruction, a virtual Inspired Hires orientation, and a six-month

Qualifications

1+ year as a shift lead, shift supervisor, assistant manager, etc. OR Associates Degree.
Proven leadership, persuasive, initiative, analytical, and communication skills (written and verbal).
Good attendance record.
Strong computer skills (AS400, Mainframe, Microsoft Office).
Strong organizational skills along with a sense of urgency and personal accountability.
Self-Motivated and a strong commitment to personal development

Responsibilities

Leads team members in the distribution process.
Manages team members in attaining production and quality goals.
Ensures appropriate resources (including materials, equipment, and staffing needs) are available to maintain production schedules.
Supports continuous improvement processes to ensure that goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service are met.
Creates and maintains an engaged and team-oriented work force to improve business results.
Team Leaders are usually on their feet in the production area about 80% of the shift.
