Strategic Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician for our client in New Albany, OH.

The role requires overnight shifts, hardware maintenance, change management, incident response, and detailed operational documentation in a live enterprise data center environment. You will execute scheduled changes via ServiceNow, troubleshoot hardware components, coordinate vendor activities, monitor incidents, and produce daily executive summaries.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center operations or enterprise IT infrastructure support.
• Experience with ServiceNow or ITSM ticketing systems, including incident tracking and change management.
• Strong documentation and administrative skills, including activity logs and change timelines.
• Understanding of change management processes and SLAs.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware issues in enterprise server environments.
• Ability to follow documented implementation plans and verify change approvals.

Responsibilities

• Support overnight operations in a live enterprise data center, focusing on change management, incident response, hardware maintenance, and documentation.
• Execute scheduled changes, respond to incidents, and ensure operations follow procedures.
• Review maintenance activities, verify approvals, and implement plans via ServiceNow.
• Manage ServiceNow change tasks (CTASKs) with proper notes, timelines, and closure.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting and break-fix activities (server components, disks, DIMMs, power supplies).
• Coordinate vendor activities, including hardware installations, decommissions, and rack-and-stack.
• Monitor incidents and infrastructure health, escalating critical issues as needed.
• Maintain detailed data center activity logs, including hardware changes and incident timelines.
• Prepare and distribute daily executive summaries of changes and incidents.
• Conduct shift handoffs and communicate outstanding tasks to incoming teams.
• Collaborate with onsite technicians, remote teams, vendors, and support groups.
• Ensure compliance with change management, procedures, and security requirements.
• Work independently with sound judgment during incidents.
