Job summary

Performance Food Group in Florida is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. The role requires operating tandem/tractor trailers on intrastate and interstate routes, adhering to DOT regulations and safety guidelines.

You will perform safety checks, report issues, handle paperwork, and maintain logs, with a 3rd shift Sunday–Thursday nights.

Qualifications

• 12+ months of commercial driving experience
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement
• Must be 21 years of age
• Pass pre-employment drug test
• Pass road test
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
• Able to hand-lift and move freight up to 90 pounds

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations
• Reports safety issues or needed repairs
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines
• Inspects trailer for proper loading and securing freight
• Ensures route paperwork is ready for dispatch
• Drives and delivers trailers per schedule
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs
• Performs housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area
• Performs other duties as assigned
