Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard sites. The role emphasizes safety checks, DOT compliance, and efficient route execution.

The position requires a valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, 12 months of driving experience, and a willingness to work Sunday–Thursday nights. Compensation is $70,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience is required.
• 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Ability to lift up to 60–90 pounds and operate equipment to move freight.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/trailer per DOT and company standards.
• Report safety issues or needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer load, secure freight, and have route paperwork ready.
• Drive and deliver trailers per schedule; perform hook/unhook procedures.
• Park and store tractor trailers; ensure equipment and freight are secured.
• Handle damaged goods and returns; complete required paperwork.
• Complete daily logs of hours of service per regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform related duties as assigned.
