Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. The role requires operating tandem/tractor trailers and staying within DOT regulations while communicating professionally with customers and coworkers.

The position is a 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday schedule with competitive pay and benefits starting Day 1, plus growth opportunities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday - Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from approximately 60 to 90 pounds, depending on the location.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspects trailer for proper loading and securing freight.
• Delivers trailers according to route schedule.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs as required.
• Performs housekeeping and keeps trailers clean.
