Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver in Florida to transport trailers between yard locations and customer sites, operating in intrastate and interstate routes. You will ensure safe loading/unloading, maintain DOT compliance, and communicate with customers and teammates.

The role requires a CDL-A with Doubles endorsement, 21+ years old, a clean MVR, and the ability to lift up to 90 pounds. The position offers night shift hours and opportunities for growth within a major

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday - Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move freight 60–90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre/post trip safety checks per DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and/or repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspects trailer for proper loading and securing freight.
• Ensures all route paperwork is available at dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers.
• Ensures equipment and freight are secured.
• Handles damaged goods and returns documentation.
• Unloads equipment and removes trash as required.
• Completes daily log of hours of service per regulations.
• Maintains cleanliness of tractor and loading dock area.
