Job summary

Performance Food Group in the United States is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport trailers between domicile/shuttle yard locations and warehouse locations, performing safety checks and adhering to DOT regulations.

This role requires a Doubles endorsement, CDL A, and a 3rd shift schedule Sunday-Thursday nights; duties include lifting up to 90 lbs and maintaining safe operations across routes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year or more commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday -Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and/or stack product cases up to 90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs all required safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer.
• Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; reports hazards.
• Ensures route paperwork is with tractor trailer and available at dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Ensures equipment and freight are secured.
• Collects damaged goods and returns in trailer; completes paperwork.
• Unloads equipment and removes trash from trailers.
• Completes daily log of hours of service per regulations.
• Performs general housekeeping in tractor/loading dock area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
