Wellstar Health System seeks a Communications Logistics Specialist for the Central Logistics Center. Applicants should have at least 2 years of inpatient experience, medical terminology knowledge, and relevant licensure/certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years inpatient work experience.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• All certifications required on hire unless stated otherwise.
• BLS - Instructor or ACLS - Instructor preferred or ACLS provisional.
• Practical Nurse or Paramedic program graduate.

Responsibilities

• Communicate information related to patient placement.
• Evaluate procedure and surgical bed assignments post procedure.
• Evaluate ER admission requests for placement information.
• Process direct admits from physicians' offices for proper placement.
• Coordinate with care coordination and physician advisor for transfers.
• Maintain centralized information for all patients needing placement.
• Coordinate hospital admissions including direct, ER and transfers.
• Coordinate unit-to-unit moves to open beds as needed.
