Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Patient Flow Coordinator (RN) for the Emergency Department to optimize throughput and patient experience during the night shift. This full-time role focuses on coordinating bed management, triage, and collaboration with ED providers and staff to ensure timely patient placement and safe, efficient care.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing, be licensed as an RN, and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• RN license is required.
• ED experience preferred, charge nurse experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care is delivered with respect for patient rights and preferences.
• Coordinate patient flow into and out of the ED to optimize throughput.
• Provide staff performance feedback to ED leadership on flow and safety.
• Liaise with Bed Management, ED providers, nursing, case management, and support services to ensure timely placement.
• Oversee ED patient placement and throughput and participate in performance improvement projects.
