Responsibilities

• Facilitates coordination of physicians involved in patient transfers; records information in Epic.
• Coordinates bed assignment processes across indicated areas; interacts with nursing, physicians, and quality council.
• Cross-trained for transfer and bed placement duties.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental policies related to transfers/bed assignment; makes recommendations to leadership.
• Receives clinical reports for ED transfers; records reports in Epic.
• Manages non-emergent physician consult process with physicians and enters consult orders.
• Suggests process improvements within the department and related areas.
• Responds to transfer/placement requests with sound clinical judgement.
• Maintains professional appearance and reliability; supports department budget and team climate.
