Job summary

The Sheridan Group in New Hampshire is hiring a Baler Technician for 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am). You’ll operate recycling equipment, bale paper by-products, and help keep production moving in a hands-on role. We provide hands-on training, overtime opportunities, and comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math, ability to read instructions, and a mechanical aptitude. Forklift experience is a plus.

• Basic math and ability to record weights and production data.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions and safety procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude and enjoy working with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate recycling equipment that shreds, compresses, and bales paper by-products.
• Thread and secure tie bands around completed bales.
• Move finished bales using pallet jacks, hoist trucks, or forklifts.
• Weigh bales and maintain records of weights and material grades.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and equipment checklists.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance on baling equipment.
• Clear paper obstructions from the cyclone system as needed.
• Assist with loading bales for shipment and complete shipping documentation.
• Photograph containers and seals for shipment verification when required.
• Follow safe work practices in a team environment.
