Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills and ability to record weights accurately.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions and safety procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in operating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate recycling equipment that shreds, compresses, and bales paper by-products.
• Thread and secure tie bands around completed bales.
• Move finished bales using pallet jacks, forklifts, or hoists.
• Weigh bales and log weights and material grades.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and equipment checks.
• Maintain baling equipment through routine cleaning and minor maintenance.
• Assist with loading bales for shipment and complete shipping docs as needed.
