Job summary

Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd in Durham, NC seeks a Night Auditor to balance and post charges across rooms, restaurant, and bar, and to prepare daily revenue reports. You will greet late arrivals and manage check-ins/check-outs while ensuring prompt, courteous guest service during the PM shift.

Strong accounting knowledge and frontline service are required; experience with Front Office systems is preferred. This role may be full-time or part-time and includes evening hours and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Two years' night audit experience at a name-brand hotel.
• Strong leadership and excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and adapt to changing priorities.
• Familiarity with FOSSE, OPERA, HILTON ONQ, Microsoft programs and Micros systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair simple computer problems.
• Strong knowledge of accounting operations including A/R and A/P.
• Accurate 10-key by touch.

Responsibilities

• Run audit reports and journals from Front Office Systems.
• Prepare daily revenue reports and breakdowns for food and beverage operations.
• Make corrections and adjustments and resolve computer issues during shift.
• Enter revenue, expenses, and allowances to generate daily reports.
• Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly and reset systems for the next day.
• Ensure all reports and backups are filed promptly and properly.
• Route documents to the Accounting Manager for A/R, A/P, Payroll processing.
• Review and correct discrepancies in the Front Desk System.
• Assist with check-ins/check-outs and guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of front desk, lobby, and back office; support guest inquiries.
