Job description

The Night Auditor will be responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Audit responsibilities include balancing duties, completing daily paperwork, and shift reports. While performing these duties, the Night Auditor will attend to guest needs such as check-ins/check-outs, making reservations, and answering guest questions.

Responsibilities:
  1. Proactively ensure guest security and create a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
  2. Count cash and maintain the accuracy of the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
  3. Check the front desk log for issues, special requests, and updates.
  4. Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
  5. Process guest registrations, including collecting payments.
  6. Prepare express checkout folios.
  7. Maintain room status inventory.
  8. Communicate shift information to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff.
  9. Maintain cleanliness of the lobby and bathroom as needed.
  10. Ensure smooth shift transitions by communicating pertinent information to the next shift.
  11. Collaborate with all hotel departments to ensure high-quality customer service.
  12. Answer inquiries regarding hotel services, guest registration, and local information such as shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explain in-room and hotel features.
  13. Complete all required shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
