Job description

The Night Auditor will be responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Responsibilities include balancing duties, completing daily paperwork, and shift reports. During these duties, the Night Auditor will attend to guest needs such as check-ins/check-outs, making reservations, and answering guest questions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Proactive thinking with guest security in mind, creating a safe, clean, and friendly environment.
  2. Counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
  3. Checking the front desk log for problems or special requests.
  4. Greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests.
  5. Processing guest registrations and collecting payments.
  6. Preparing express checkout folios.
  7. Maintaining room status inventory.
  8. Communicating shift information to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and desk staff.
  9. Maintaining and cleaning the lobby and bathroom as needed.
  10. Ensuring smooth shift transitions by communicating pertinent information.
  11. Collaborating with hotel departments to ensure high-quality customer service.
  12. Answering inquiries about hotel services, registration, and local directions.
  13. Completing all shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
  14. Performing other duties as assigned by management.
