Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
• Computer literacy is required.
• Hotel front desk experience is a plus.
• Ability to work evenings, holidays and weekends.
• High School graduate or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a delightful, seamless arrival and departure for our guests.
• Greets guests and processes hotel registration and other transactions.
• Keeps current on hotel accommodations, services and local attractions.
• Handles guest compliments, comments, and challenges to achieve guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate with other departments to arrange requested guest services.
• Review and update the communication log to stay informed about hotel developments.
• Prepare end of shift summaries and communications for management.
• Make reservations in line with hotel yield management practices.
• Process customer credit at check-in according to policy and privacy standards.
• Answer and field calls to the hotel as needed.
• Record special billing instructions and notify Accounting.
• Obtain approvals and signatures for guest transactions.
• Follow policy on cash banks and maintain guest data confidentiality.
• Oversee the night audit process and related reporting.
