Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings at one or more locations in Syracuse, NY. This entry-level, part-time role includes on-the-job training and annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology.

You will screen babies, educate families, and ensure timely reporting and documentation on shift. The position requires weekend availability and a strong focus on safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR certification or obtain upon offer is required.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Provide education to parents on the importance of screening and early intervention.
• Document and process data, including demographics and screen results.
• Attend to safety protocols and PPE and follow hospital policies.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule follow ups.
• Work efficiently to minimize time in patient rooms while ensuring quality care.
