Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings and educate families on the importance of early intervention. On-the-job training and American Academy of Audiology certification are provided.

The role is on-site at hospital locations; candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work weekends/holidays, and handle data entry with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing loss in hospital settings.
• Provide education to parents about the relevance of hearing screens and early intervention.
• Document screening data and demographics; ensure accurate reporting and follow-up as needed.
• Follow safety, PPE, vaccination and hospital policies on-site at facilities.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when indicated.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate compassion in all interactions.
